Ingrown Toenails
Same-week appointments. Expert removal and nail correction with minimal discomfort and smooth recovery.

Precision-crafted to your unique anatomy. Correct alignment, eliminate chronic pain, restore natural movement.

  • Full gait analysis and foot mapping
  • Medical-grade materials, built to last
  • Treat flat feet, overpronation, arch pain
  • Fits in most everyday shoes

Shockwave Therapy
Non-invasive acoustic wave treatment for chronic heel pain, plantar fasciitis, and Achilles tendinopathy. Proven results.

Extracorporeal Shockwave Therapy (ESWT) delivers acoustic pressure waves deep into tissue to stimulate healing in chronic, treatment-resistant conditions. It's a proven non-surgical alternative for patients who haven't responded to other treatments.

  • Effective for plantar fasciitis & Achilles tendinopathy
  • Non-invasive — no needles, no surgery
  • Stimulates natural tissue regeneration
  • Each session takes about 15 minutes
  • Most patients need 3–5 sessions

Neuromas
Precise injection techniques and conservative care for Morton's neuroma and related nerve conditions. Many patients experience significant relief after their first visit.

A neuroma — most commonly Morton's neuroma — is a thickening of nerve tissue between the toes, causing burning, numbness, or a feeling like a pebble in your shoe. Dr. Stewart uses advanced injection techniques that many patients say provided immediate relief where other treatments failed.

  • Corticosteroid & sclerosing injections
  • Custom orthotics to offload pressure
  • Conservative care before surgery

Common Questions

Frequently asked questions

How soon can I get an appointment? +
We offer same-week appointments for both urgent and routine cases. If you are in acute pain, we will do our best to see you within 24–48 hours. Call us at (425) 842-3865 to schedule.
Do you accept my insurance? +
We accept Aetna, Premera Blue Cross (WA BCBS), and Cigna. We recommend calling our office before your visit so we can verify your specific benefits and give you an accurate estimate of any out-of-pocket costs.
What is the difference between a covered and a cosmetic procedure? +
Insurance covers procedures deemed "medically necessary" — meaning there is a diagnosable condition causing pain or functional problems. Cosmetic or elective procedures (such as KeryFlex nail restoration or laser nail therapy for appearance-only concerns) are typically self-pay. See our Insurance & Self-Pay section for a full breakdown.
What should I wear or bring to my appointment? +
Wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing and bring the shoes you wear most often. For ankle or lower leg concerns, wear or bring shorts. Also bring your insurance card, photo ID, medication list, and any prior imaging related to your concern.
Do I need a referral to see a podiatrist? +
Most patients do not need a referral. However, some HMO and managed care plans do require one. We recommend checking with your insurer or calling us — we can help determine whether a referral is needed for your specific plan.
How long will my appointment take? +
New patient visits typically take 30–40 minutes, allowing time for a thorough history, examination, imaging if needed, and discussion of your treatment plan. Follow-up visits are generally 20–30 minutes. We do not rush our patients.
Can you treat my child's foot problem? +
Yes. We treat patients of all ages including children and adolescents. Common pediatric conditions we see include flat feet, in-toeing, heel pain (Sever's disease), ingrown toenails, and sports-related foot and ankle injuries.
What procedures are typically covered by insurance? +
Our accepted insurance plans — Aetna, Premera Blue Cross (WA BCBS), and Cigna — cover podiatric care that is medically necessary. Commonly covered services include: ingrown toenail removal (with infection or pain), plantar fasciitis treatment and shockwave therapy, ankle sprains and fractures, custom orthotics (with a qualifying diagnosis), diabetic foot exams and nail care, wound care for ulcers and non-healing sores, neuroma injections, and biomechanical evaluations for chronic pain. We verify your benefits before your visit and handle prior authorizations.
How do I pay my bill or access my health records? +
Both are available at any time through our secure patient portal. Once logged in, you can review and pay outstanding balances, view itemized statements, and access your complete health records — including visit summaries, treatment notes, imaging results, and prescription history. Your information is protected by 256-bit encryption and is fully HIPAA-compliant. If you have not yet registered, you can create an account at yourhealthfile.com. For billing questions or assistance, you are also welcome to contact our office directly at (425) 842-3865.
What procedures are self-pay or cosmetic? +
Some procedures are considered elective or cosmetic by insurance carriers and are paid out-of-pocket. These include: KeryFlex nail restoration, laser nail therapy for cosmetic fungal nail concerns, routine nail trimming without a qualifying diagnosis, cosmetic callus and corn removal, plantar wart removal (some plans may cover), and certain orthotics when the diagnosis doesn't qualify. We provide transparent pricing estimates upfront — however, please be aware that pricing is based on a general assessment and may be subject to change following an in-person evaluation. The nature and extent of your condition can affect the recommended course of treatment, which may in turn affect the final cost. We will always discuss any changes with you before proceeding. Some services may be HSA/FSA eligible; ask our team.
How do I know what my insurance will cover before my visit? +
We recommend calling our office before your appointment so we can verify your specific benefits. Our front desk team handles insurance verification, prior authorizations, and will always be upfront about any expected out-of-pocket costs before treatment begins. The distinction between covered and non-covered care depends on your specific plan, your diagnosis, and current benefit guidelines — so it's always best to confirm in advance.
Do you serve patients from Lacey, Tumwater, and surrounding Thurston County? +
Yes. While our clinic is located in Olympia at 2008 Caton Way SW, we serve patients throughout Thurston County — including Lacey, Tumwater, Yelm, Tenino, and Rainier. If you're searching for a podiatrist near you in the greater Olympia area, we welcome new patients and offer same-week appointments.
